How to Make Child Proof Caps Easy to Open. Come on, please tell me I’m not the only one (and the hubs) who didn’t know about this little hack? Kids have been gone for years, it’s just me and the man and our German Shepherd dogs – and one of our pups was prescribed some medication.

And here we were, administering pills twice a day – and each time struggling with that damn “child proof” pill bottle cap. A “child proof” cap when there haven’t been “children” around for 15 years !!

Struggling until I learned this. Which kind of turned into a DUH – boy do I feel stupid – moment. And why the heck didn’t anybody ever tell me about this sooner? Check it out

Did you know that medication bottles now come with a cap that can be turned into a simple screw cap? I sure as heck didn’t. And all you have to do is turn the cap upside down and screw it into the med bottle !! The seal is tight and nothing comes out. VIOLA – really ?!?!?

And just like that, me and the man will not be struggling with that childproof pill cap anymore. Let’s just file this one under another one of those “things nobody ever told me about” discoveries that I wish I had known about sooner – like 30 years sooner. Oh well, live and learn.
