Aluminum Foil and Saran Wrap Box Tabs – Ends Locks. Funny thing about these little tabs – it’s one of those life altering moments that I had to actually see on the TV. One day I was watching the Ellen show and she was doing a segment on things she had just recently learned and these box tabs were one of them. And I was like WHAT ??? I didn’t even know they existed on the box.

So after running to the kitchen and checking for myself, I just had to call my mom and ask if she knew about these end locks and why hadn’t she told me about them sooner. Well at the young age of 75 – my mother was just as amazed as I was. We had a really good laugh about this one for sure. But seriously – how great is it when you’re able to share some words of wisdom with your own mother 🙂

BOX TABS AND END LOCKS

About these boxes – the little tabs are called END LOCKS and they’re there to hold the roll of foil or plastic wrap steady inside the box as you pull on it. Viola – magic. No more roll jiggling in the box as your pulling for a strip of foil or saran wrap – no more uneven cuts – and no more running after a loose roll as it flies out and hits the floor. It’s just another one of those small yet very useful Things Nobody Ever Told Me About that I wish I had known sooner.
