Prayer for a Sick Friend or Family Member. When you wake up and the first message you see is “please pray for my dad as he’s in ICU with Covid”. My heart sunk, my heart hurts, I have tears streaming down my face for my friend who is 2000 miles away. And I have no way to comfort him, my good friend – his wife Debbie, or his son.

My only solace is prayer – and pray I will. I pray the Good Lord will give His children wisdom on how to prevent spreading of the virus with social distancing, pray the Good Lord will give His children compassion for others and do their part by wearing masks, pray the Good Lord will care for all His children who are now sick with the virus, and pray the Good Lord will once and for all rid the world of this horrible virus. In Jesus’ name I pray – Amen

“Dear Lord, our friend Dominic is ill and needs your compassionate regard. Please comfort him on his sickbed and ease his suffering. We beg for deliverance and submit that no healing is too hard for you. We pray that you bless our friend Dominic with your loving care, renew his strength and heal what ails him in your loving name. Thank you Lord.”
