Detox Smoothie with Spinach and Pears. Well it’s been one heck of a summer that’s for sure – we’ve all been social distancing, just hanging out with close family members, and finding ways to entertain ourselves and the kids if they are still home. Some are exercising, some have found new talents, some have picked up new hobby’s, and some have been experimenting with cooking.

And you know … along with cooking comes all the eating. While I’m sure making and baking all those delicious meals/snacks/desserts has been rewarding, hanging on to all those toxins may be slowing you down, making you tired, and just not feeling 100%. But no worries – there is a simple fix for those toxic blues – it’s called a DETOXING SMOOTHIE.

Detoxing is said to eliminate toxins from your body, improve health, and promote weight loss. As your body can eliminate toxins on its own through the liver, kidneys, digestive system, skin, and lungs – only when these organs are healthy can they effectively do their jobs to eliminate unwanted substances.

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Spinach
2 Pears (chopped)
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 c Almond Milk
1/4 c unsalted Cashews
1 Tbsp Flaxseed
1 Tbsp Chia seed
1/2 cup water

Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add ice as desired
