Detox Smoothie with Spinach and Pears. Detoxing is said to eliminate toxins from your body, improve health, and promote weight loss. As your body can eliminate toxins on its own through the liver, kidneys, digestive system, skin, and lungs – only when these organs are healthy can they effectively do their jobs to eliminate unwanted substances
Here’s where detoxing smoothies come in. Simply blend up one of these nutrient and antioxidant filled drinks and help your body boost the cleansing process. And they’re pretty darn tasty too 🙂
Spinach – contains iron, niacin, folic acid, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorophyll, and more. Also helps detox and protect the urinary tract
Pears – have high water content. This helps keep stools soft and flushes the digestive system of toxins
Turmeric – may do wonders for your liver; is also known to increase the production of vital enzymes that are responsible for detoxifying our blood that goes to the liver by breaking down toxins
Cinnamon – has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects; is great for ridding your body of harmful toxins and helps boost your metabolism
Nutmeg – helps in detoxifying the body, clearing out toxins from the liver and kidneys; also has anti-bacterial properties which helps in removing bacteria from the mouth which are responsible for causing bad breath

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Spinach
2 Pears (chopped)
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 c Almond Milk
1/4 c unsalted Cashews
1 Tbsp Flaxseed
1 Tbsp Chia seed
1/2 cup water
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add ice as desired
