jump to the recipe 50friendly

Not only are my muscles sore due to the grunt work I’ve been doing at my 9-5, but they’re also sore due to the exercise program I’m starting again. And I only have a couple of months to get these relaxed muscles in shape so I’m going to need all the help I can get with recovery.

So if you’re like me and you’re already dealing with sore muscles, or better yet want to help speed up recovery after a workout, look no further than the smoothies I’ll be posting over the next couple of weeks.

So what smoothie is best after a workout? This one is called the Post Workout Recovery Smoothie. My son made this one for us today and boy was it yummy !!

INGREDIENT BENEFITS
post workout recovery smoothieFirst of all, there are bananas and pears to complement each other. Bananas have a 1:1 ratio of glucose to fructose while Pears have twice as much fructose as glucose; Pineapple is high in a potent anti-inflammatory enzyme called bromelain that reduces exercise-induced muscle damage and inflammation, and also enhances recovery; Avocado gives you monounsaturated fat for repairing muscle and B vitamins to jump-start your metabolism and reduce muscle soreness; Spinach for potassium and magnesium, which are key electrolytes that the body needs to recover; Oat Milk for all your necessary vitamins and minerals; Muscle Strength and Restore Formula Powder to preserve healthy muscle function; and Vitamin D3 to help with faster muscle recovery after intense exercise and may even prevent muscle damage caused by the exercise.

So try this Post Workout Recovery Smoothie today – your body will thank you. Happy workouts my friends

If you need to purchase Muscle Strength and Restore Formula, make sure the supplement powder includes HMB (which is essential for sore muscles) and some Vitamin D3 capsules with at least 5000IU (soft gels are best as you can drop one right into your blender). Together they help repair and rebuild sore muscles. You can purchase them here HMB and VITAMIN D3 or at LIFE EXTENSIONS.
